IXPDB Snapshot System

Peak traffic and participants at Internet Exchange Points that publish live data through IXPDB, by region and IXP.

All data on this page comes from IXPDB and the IXPs that participate in it. Only IXPs publishing live data through IXPDB are counted, so these totals understate each region. Run an IXP that isn't counted here? Add it to IXPDB and it will appear in the next daily snapshot.

Add your IXP to IXPDB

Listing your IXP in IXPDB takes four steps:

  1. Create your IX-F Member Export. This is a JSON file describing your IXP and its members; the format is documented in the IX-F JSON schemas on GitHub. Include your traffic API URLs if you can, so your traffic can be counted as well as your participants.
  2. Check that it works with the IXPDB Validation Tool.
  3. Ask for an account. Email support@ixpdb.freshdesk.com to get your IX-F ID number and login details.
  4. Add your export. Log in to IXPDB and add your export URLs to your IXP's profile.

Once your IXP is publishing live data through IXPDB, it will appear here from the next daily snapshot.
